WBS Details

Updated on

Clicking on the edit pencil opens the details popup for the WBS where you can:

  1. Edit the WBS description, type or estimating strategies. Estimating strategies determine what tabs appear within the estimate. In the future you will also have the option to assign estimating strategies to WBS elements below the basis of estimate in order to show/hide those WBS elements from the specific estimating tabs for labor, material, travel and other direct costs. WBS elements which do not specify the estimating strategy related to that tab would not be selectable on estimated costs for that tab
  2. Select the owner, risk owner (if the WBS / task is representing the cost impact of a risk) or approver
  3. Workstream, sub-workstream and customer if your project is a bid or proposal for an external customer. Company or org. unit, product line and profit center
  4. Dates and confidence score which is calculated by aggregating up the confidence of each estimate within this WBS and its subordinate WBS elements
  5. Design to cost target cost and hours as well as the current total rolled-up or summarized estimated direct cost
  6. Checkboxes to indicate if this WBS is a work-package, a task, a billing element or a control account
