Explains how you can re-use table layouts, filters and column sorts

Personalized Table Layouts

You can modify the columns in your table, change the position and width of existing columns, lock columns from scrolling, sort or group your data by any column or in many cases filter the data which you see based on entering values or ranges for columns in any list or table.

  • To change the width of a column mouse-over the vertical separator line between two column headings until you see the vertical bar with arrows and then click and drag to change your column width (just like in Excel)
  • To change the position of a column click and drag the column header to the left or right. You will see if 'flip' past columns as you drag (just like Google sheets)
  • To sort on a column click on the column header (1, below) or click on the arrow to bring the column menu and select 'Sort Ascending' or 'Sort Descending' from the column menu (2). After you sort on a column you will see an up (first to last) or down (descending or last to first) arrow. A number is displayed if you can sort on multiple columns to indicate the primary, secondary etc. sort options (3)
    • Some columns are not allowed for sorting, for technical reasons
  • To hide a column select 'Hide {Column_name}' from the column menu, as shown in the purple box below.
Add Columns in a Table

To group rows by a certain column select Group by this Field from the column menu (2). Rows will be first sorted based on this column (ahead of any other sort criteria) and then grouped into blocked of common values. There are often sub-totals for monetary columns, provided they are all the same (e.g. company) currency

  • To disable grouping uncheck Show in Groups from the same column menu, or select a different column to group by instead

To lock columns (when available) select Lock or Unlock from the column menu (3)
