Explains how to view or edit my profile
Accessing My Profile
There are two ways to access your personal profile:
- Click on photo or initials in top right corner and select "Edit My Profile" from the popup
- Go to home > my profile in main navigation menu.
Once you access my profile you will be presented with your personal profile showing personal data such as:
- Employee badge ID and hire date
- Country where you are based
- Date and country of birth, and sometimes nationality
- Gender and marital status
- Tax ID or "SSN" (Social Security Number) in the US. Tax label and format changes based on the country you are in
- The highest level of academic education (high school, degree, post-graduate etc.) and at what institution this was
- Primary language and sometimes where you were born, age
- Ethnic group and/or religion
- Military/veteran status incl. date discharged from national military service for your country.
The exact fields you see will depend on how your employee screen layouts were customized by your system administrator or iBE implementation consultant.
Other Tabs
Across the top you can access other tabs such as:
- Contact information including home and work addresses (1), emails (2) and phone numbers (3) plus which email is "preferred" i.e. used by the system to deliver workflow/approval and other automated emails to (4)
- Dependents and/or Emergency Contacts
- Work permits or passport, driving license and visa IDs
- Your job related data such as job role, dates, title, manager, supervisor, billing rate and work status
- Organizations (such as professional institutes) you are a member of
- Working hours and time-off balances
- Background information and references
- Compensation related data such as pay & benefits, expense reimbursement and standard cost
- Bank details (for payroll purposes)
- Prior work experience or current work assignments
- Salary history and overall change history of your employee profile.
Refer to the links above for detailed information on each tab from an employee admin perspective. "My profile" will be the same except that your system administrator will have stopped you from editing most of this information (such as your own salary for example!). Some fields or even tabs may also be hidden based on screen layout settings.
