How do I Update someone's Job Data?

Explains how to update job data such as manager, dates, responsibilities and working arrangements. If individual fields are hidden from view your iBE support consultant can re-activate them.

Job Tab

Go to manage > hr > people and create or edit your employee, navigating to the JOB DATA tab. In this tab you can view and edit someone's:

  1. Job role, selected from a list of jobs and positions you define separately. Job roles can also impact the employee's authorizations and menu access rights in iBE
  2. Start and end dates for this job. Job end date is not the same as employment termination date
  3. Business title for this individual, which defaults to the job name but can be edited freely
  4. Supervisor, manager, mentor and human resources representative
  5. Location, department or regulatory region (region for legal or taxation issues)
  6. Work experience, primary skill and languages. There are separate tabs for WORK EXPERIENCE or SKILLS to go into more detail
  7. Billing rate code including the option to define an individual or person-specific client billing rate. Even when you define billing rates here or in the master rates list you can still edit rates by project
  8. Target utilization either as a % or target number of billable hours per measurement interval
  9. Employee class, seniority/level and Equal Opportunities (EEO) class and status. This and items 10 & 14 below are US-specific
  10. Eligibility for FLSA (US regulation for Fair Labor Standards Act)
  11. Termination or retirement date including date starting any notice of termination period
  12. Probation or notice period
  13. Part-time or remote worker (e.g. working from home)
  14. Information on whether this person is legally permitted to work in the USA (non-US citizen), and whether they count as a full-time worker for Affordable Care Act (ACA) benefit/health plan requirements and/or is a temporary worker.

Working hours per week is normally under the WORK SCHEDULE or TIME & TIME-OFF tab.

Note: your actual screen layout may be different to this depending on how your system administrator customized it.
