Explains how to see time-off balances
Time-off Balances
You or any HR admin can see your time-off balances under Home > My Profile by clicking on WORK-SCHEDULE / TIME-OFF tab. All types of time-off which are allocated to your employee will be shown, eg:
- Paid Time Off
- Bereavement Leave
- Time off in Lieue
- Jury Duty
- Unpaid Leave.
Note: There could be other leave types, depending on your company's time-off policies. In the time-off balances you can view:
- The time-off types applicable to this employee. Hourly time-off types will say "hours" after which means that the numbers in that row are in hours, as opposed to the default all numbers being in days
- The opening balance at the start of the current vacation year
- The number of days (or hours) earned or accrued vs. taken until now. Time-off becomes taken when it is approved and in the past
- Resulting balance - today or as per the "balance calculated as of" date
- You can project or forecast time-off balances in the future by changing the "Balances calculated as of" date to a future date. Doing so displays a new column showing any future accruals and any submitted leave or time-off requests in the future (between today and the balance calculation date). The projected balance is shown, calculated as the balance today + future accruals - future time-off requests.
