iBE has developed interfaces with biometric, proximity and RFID card scan device from ZK Technologies. To clock in using such a device simply wave your RFID card near the device, swipe your badge or place your finger-print on the finger print scanner. The device will acknowledge your clock as successful or a failure.

Note: Prior to clocking using this device you must:

1. Install and connect your device to the local wifi network (refer to instruction manual for device for more information)
2. Activated the APIs from this device to iBE by installing the attendance module and registering this device in iBE's equipment list
3. Set up the badge PIN or fingerprint as a valid device user.

Once you clock in the API from this device to iBE will automatically transmit the clock and post a "Clock-in" event if

• The previous event was a "clock-out", or
• This is the first interaction for this user in the day (even if yesterday's clock-out event was missed), or
• Or is closer to the start of the user's normal work-shift than to the end of the prior work-shift (likewise).

To clock out simply swipe your card, RFID badge or place your fingerprint on the scanner again. The device will automatically clock you out if the previous event was a "clock in" or a return from a break.

The device performs badge, RFID or fingerprint verification locally on the device, but it does not determine if you are clocking in or out; this is done within iBE's server.

Note: if you wish for the same user to clock in and out using a variety of devices make sure their user profile is assigned to each device.
