There are two ways to book a leave or time-off:
- Book a vacation ahead of time via menu Time > My Time-off
- Book a sick leave or similar in your timesheet via Time > My Time
Refer to request time-off for information on how to book vacation ahead of time
Booking Sick Leave etc. from your Timesheet

If you want to take a Sick or Paid leave through your week timesheet, then create a new timesheet or click on a time entry or row in an existing timesheet.
Click on the V more button in toolbar (top right corner) and select Record Time Off. This will open a popup window for Requesting Time Off.
Entering Time-off Request Detail
The popup to record or request time-off provides:
- Select the Time-off type from the dropdown for example Sick Leave or Paid Time-off or Vacation
- Select a Start Date and a End Date for which you want to take leave. Your leave dates would normally fall within the timesheet period but they do not have to - you can request leave for a future timesheet period
- You can select a Half day or a Full Day (or other day fractions depending on how your time-off type was set-up)
- Optionally provide a reason for taking leave
- Most importart don't forget to submit your leave request by clicking on the submit link in the top right corner.
If you close or cancel the leave request without submitting it won't get updated in your timesheet
After you submit and close the time-off popup the requested or recorded time-off days will appear as a new row in your timesheet.
Entering Time-off Letter Codes in the Timesheet
If you are entering your time you can also type in the first letter of your requested time-off inside a particular cell or day within the timesheet, as highlighted above. For example:
- To request sick leave enter "s" (for a half day sick leave) or "S" (for a full day of sick leave)
- Or enter "v" for a half day of vacation
- Or "P" for a full day of paid time-off
This opens the same popup as above but defaults or pre-populates the time off type (based on what letter you entered), the date (start/finish dates are both for the date you entered the time off code) and the duration (1 day for upper case, a half day for lower case inputs). You can always adjust the dates, duration or time-off type from within this popup.
Note: You have to have at least one row in your timesheet to enter a time-off code
