Start and stop times are mainly used to calculate time worked. They are sometimes also used in time evaluation if you have specific work-schedule start and stop times in your work-shift.
What if I Worked Past Midnight?
The elapsed time is calculated assuming that start and stop times occurred on the same date. If you worked over mid-night you can enter a start time which is later than the end time. In this situation iBE.net recognizes this and asks you if you are indeed working past midnight. If you confirm that you are then the end time is taken as the next day, and the total time worked is calculated on the assumption that you worked past midnight.
Price and cost rates that are date effective are normally processed for the date when you started a work-shift which goes past mid-night.
