Explains why we time-out your session after a period of inactivity
If you are inactive for some time then your session will be disconnected from the iBE.net server. Next time you start using iBE.net you will asked to login again.
Provided that you re-enter your password to continue using iBE.net your data will not be lost. Always enter your password and click the Login button if you have unsaved changes that you want to keep. Or if you are done using iBE.net for now, then simply close the browser tab or session. Changes made since you last clicked the save button will be discarded.
We keep track of inactivity this way for security reasons. If you left your desk with your iBE.net session active, and your computer did not automatically go to sleep, then someone else could use your iBE.net user and account on your behalf. Your system administrator can control this inactivity time-out centrally, forcing you to re-enter your password after a certain period of inactivity.
You can also create a password protected screen saver or automatically put your computer to sleep after a period of inactivity as an added security measure. This is done using your Windows or Mac OS preferences or system settings panel. Refer to the help for your computer operating system for more information.
